Dan Hager a.k.a. AGENT DAN

There is an expression that goes... “All you have to do to be successful in the life insurance business is…..last.”  In other words, survive.  Dan has done that.  He started selling insurance with London Life Insurance Company after finishing university in 1987.  In 1993 after six years of building a clientele within the confines of London Life’s single company representation* system he made the decision to exit London Life to establish himself as a broker offering the products and services of many companies to his customers.

 

From 1993 to 2001 Dan was an associate broker and later Marketing Director in a co-operative based brokerage called The Many Nations Benefit Co-operative. The Co-operative delivered individual life and health insurance benefits, group life and health insurance benefits and group pension benefits to its members across Canada. Dan was one of the founding brokers and instrumental to Co-operative’s early start up years.

 

In May of 2001 Dan joined a Vancouver based brokerage called Pinnacle as their Vancouver Island marketing associate where he spent one year serving insurance and investment brokers in Victoria and Vancouver Island.

 

In June 2002 Dan left Pinnacle and returned to personal production and self-employment once again.  He works from an office in his home providing personal life and health insurance advice and sales.

 

Besides his insurance practice on Vancouver Island, Dan is involved with his family’s organic wheat and hay farm operation just north of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He travels each summer to the prairies to support the annual hay making and harvesting activities in late July to late August and sometimes into September.

 

He lives with his partner France, also know as ‘The French Girl’ and her son Olivier in their log home on Vancouver Island near Sooke.
